These Terms of Use govern your use of the mobile application “CareCheck” (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Description of the Service
CareCheck is a personal safety check-in application that allows users to periodically confirm their status. If the user does not confirm their activity within a defined period of time, the App may send a notification via SMS to a contact selected by the user.
The purpose of the App is to help users maintain a simple daily safety check-in routine.
User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- providing accurate information when setting up the App
- selecting an emergency contact who agrees to receive notifications
- using the App only for lawful purposes
By selecting an emergency contact, the user confirms that the selected person has consented to receive notifications from the App.
SMS Notifications
The App may send SMS notifications to the contact selected by the user when the application detects that no activity has been recorded within a specified period of time.
The user is fully responsible for selecting the correct contact and ensuring that the contact agrees to receive such notifications.
Not an Emergency Service
CareCheck is not an emergency service, medical service, or rescue system.
The App should not be relied upon in situations that require immediate emergency assistance. Users should always contact appropriate emergency services when necessary.
Availability of the Service
The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The developers do not guarantee uninterrupted operation of the service.
The functionality of the App may be affected by factors including device limitations, operating system restrictions, network connectivity, or third-party services.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers of the App are not liable for any damages, losses, or harm resulting from:
- failure of the App to detect activity
- delayed or undelivered notifications
- technical failures or service interruptions
- misuse of the App
In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
The App may offer optional subscriptions or donations through in-app purchases provided by the application stores.
Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to the respective store’s terms and conditions.
Subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled through the user's app store account settings.
The App does not process or store payment card information.
User Data and Privacy

By using the App, you acknowledge and agree to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.
Termination
Users may stop using the App at any time. Users may also request deletion of their data by contacting support.
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
